Story on Dad

Brent got our alarm clock set fourty minute ahead which normail no bit deal. Will for semiary class he set the clock for the alarm to go off at 5:00 so we have time to get ready and go. I am a morning person but four twenty is a little too early even for me if I do not get to bed early. Dad was wondering why I was grumy. I got up with the alarm and got dress to go. Wait for My husband to wake up and get dress. I ate my breakfast. Finial he get up fourty minate later. He then got to brush he teeth and dress. He been nice and turn the clock to the correct time.
Even some morning can be too early even for a morning person

Parts

We got the sink drain part we were missing. Work on the pump at complex two. Brent got so excited he been cutting me off in talking to him. The reason the water not running very well is it got a filter and it plug. We check it today and it running clear they got it flash Dad was going to do it but someone beat him to it. He hook up the drain to it so it will run the water outside the fence in area and away from the other pump and power thing. We walk in the botanical garden it old and part of big estate here. The guy that build the sugar factory. It got lots of different trees from some other countries. Dad was tire so we cut walk short and went home. We been ask to go to seminary in the morning a teacher having a hard time. We went this morning and the kids were so good but all he could see was kid not having song book. They were singing the songs. One girl was late and he wrote it up. He made them sound like monster we found normal teenagers. Will find a way to help.

What a diference a day makes

Does a day make a difference yes. Today we wanted to take the family of Mauro to their Branch by their town in Polado 7. With a song in our hearts and a map from the elders we picked up the family of Otilia and headed out. There was 9 of us in the car so we had a car full. We got there a little before the elders so we unloaded a sent Connie back for with Juieta to get the rest of the group at Mauro home. By the time they got back we had finish with the sacrament. I asked to speak at the end of the meeting. I told them the reason that we was there was to introduce them to the family, and all so to tell them of our classes of cake making and piano classes. They had asked me to play for them and it was great to hear them sing, this was the first time that I had a chance to play for a group here. When it was time to go Connie took the first group to Mauro home and we stayed for the rest of the meeting. After eating we headed out to our branch we was running late and Jesus Valencia called to see where we were, I told him to hold down the fort the troops were coming. We dropped of the first group and got the rest, we were about a hour late, but when we inter in the building there they were setting there patiently waiting for us. It was the biggest group yet for us 30 in all, so we got things started. Connie spoke first then I started and in the middle of my talk a little girls nose started to bleed. We got a wet towel and I told her mother to put it on the back of the neck, and it stopped the bleeding. The mother had just taken the girl the week before to the hospital for the same problem. And this will help her to know how to help here daughter the next time. Also another little girl told her mother that if they couldn't get a ride to the church that she would walk. And so through the hearts or the children we are lead. I just love the way the Lord works. So you see one day does make a difference.

Cake class

We had a lot of sister come to the cake class on Saturday. They love all the thing they could do with cake. The use of a mix surprised them. The one thing to show them was the toping of the cake. We had fun. Ibe doing a bread class with them next month. They want to learn to make Lazona. We set that up the the month after. Finding some of the cheese I need here will be interesting. The sister hear about Dad sing and some other story so he entertain them while we waited for the cake. This time there was cake left over and they did not want us to take it home they know we did not want it. They took the cake that was left.

Onion

This pictures are them havesting onion down here, They go though a feild and pick up the onion. Next they go though the feild and cut the tops off the onion and put them back into the brown bags. The Big machine is next they put the onion into the machine and it size them and put them into bag that are white the red bag is second grade onion. The Ladies on top of the machine pick out the bad or cut onion. The ladies on the bottom take the onion bag off and give to the guys who lay them into the feild. The truck in the back is being load with the onion. They only pick up one size for the truck. Each person get a bag take it into the truck.

Home Evening

The kid were trying to make money for the dance program in culucan. We went out earliy and buy some of there food. We then did family home evening. with the kids and some of there parents. Talk about David and how he was prepare to meet Glith. We play the animal game. The missionary were there. Had treats. The missionary ask for a ride home so we took them home.

Bread Class

I had three bread class this week. Each ward had about half the people interestied in Bread but we had fun any way. In one class I wish I know the RS President was not come we would of start an hour earlier. In one of the class I had a lady who husband made bread for a living. Later found out he had dead. They bursh milk on the top to put seeds on the top and have them stay. She is making torot now. She enjoyed the class.

Nieghbor

We went looking for a parade Monday only to find it was there fourth of July for spring and they can do it any time in the spring we just happen to come across a parade of kids on the front of and on top of cars with balloons going down the road, and me without my camera O'well we enjoy the seeing the little kids any way. The parents were having as much fun as the kids were. The neighbor lady got a lesson from dad on her new piano that she had bought to learn to play Hymie's and other songs. She caught on real fast so he is excite about her learning. They took us out to lunch to their country club. We had a wonderful day with them. Dad try to see if he could get a home evening with them. He is not a member but she is and he did not want any of it. She said he took a while to warm up to the missionary too. I found out that he likes to play tennis and is real good at base ball, so I challenged him to a game of tennis when he was up to it. I told him that I would give him a run for his money. All in all it was a very interesting day and we even went to Home Depot to get some parts for their sink fct. that was leaking, you know I LIKE THINGS TO WORK RIGHT and a leaking fct. has got to be fixed. We got a free meal and made some new friends it was another great day in the mission

Fire in the Sugar Cane

We went back out to the farm yesterday because they been working in the cane. We got there just in time to film and watch the fire in the sugar cane. You can see the sugar cane machine ready for the fire to die. It was so fun to see the fire late at night it show up so must more then in the day.
We did another class last night in the other ward in our building. I had six sister. I fix double reciept so they could work with the bread. We had fun, Dad insist on having scones again. He can not get enough of them. We got another bread class toniught.
We went yesterday out to the farm to work only to find parts missing. Dad had even ask the guy about hanger for the sink before we left. It was missing. We found some other miss parts. But with a bread class today will just be getting part for farm today.

Sunday morning

It's Sunday morning and the birds are doing their thing singing their hearts out. The smell of the orange blossoms are in the air and there is a cool breeze coming in the window. We have a little visitor every morning who comes to the back door to and looks at us as if to say hi, welcome to paradise today, it a humming bird and after it checked out all the flowers and the back door it's off on it's way. All these things tell me that I'm not on the farm at home. And yet here we are on a mission in paradise doing our thing getting ready for church. I think of the family that we left at home and the problems that they are facing and wondering if we did the right thing being here, and yet I know in my heart that this is where we are supposed to be . We are going to one of the many big wards in town to get to know the people . Last week we went there and the stake pres. ask us to come back to talk to him about doing family home evening for each ward and branch in his stake. Also I told him that I wanted to teach a group of students to play the piano's we will be meeting up with him this morning. And Connie wants to line up a date with the ladies to do another class on cake baking. We visited with and sister last night and she was talking about her problems with the neighbors and the kids and how her mothers would like her to come and live with her , so she is thinking about selling the place that her deceased husband and her have had for 15 years and move in with her mom. She is not very far away but it is a big decision for her. I told that she should pray about it and the Lord would help her. Time is slipping away and it time to read scriptures, eat and head out church. Loving the work and love the Lord TOGETHER in the work sun day morning.

Toads

Dad had a first he got four live toad in a toilet and He think there another one still slowing the toilet down. These are big toad also not little one for the toilet. I bravely skupt them out put them into some leave. The shower drain is not cover so we will have to cover it.
Most of this week has been painting a building and starting another. Took Liberato over to have a blood test. Ortilla check about licence place for her truck. Found out from her that auto get a tax put on them every three month down here. around 200 peco. Even if they have been seating in one place no running. It does not matter.

Dragons

The last picture of San Megal. I Love how the cement house just go right up the hill. We past this town when we go see Mauro. Thursday we took Mauro to his Doctors appointment. He doing great the toe is healing up. We thought we were ready to go when we found they made a mistake on his paper work. We went back to see the Doctor and get it straight. Only to find that there computer was down. They finial went to another computer and change the name on his paper to his name. We got the medicine and away we went to visit Liberto and Ortilla. Dad had a shovel for her he had fix.
We took Mauro home and Juana fix a wonderful lunch of beans and fresh tortilla she made. On our way out of town we stop by the creamy and got a block of cheese. It cottage cheese they put into blocks. We been enjoy the cheese the last few days.
I was to give a bread class Friday but no one was there. They forgot the class. We have to reschedule. When we got home Brent invited the neighbor lady to come and learn to make bread. He been want scones as soon as he found out I was making bread. I made some scone and rolls with the doug.
End of a sick and trying week but Brent got scones and jam. MMM said brent with his mouth full

he said that it would be worth it

To day we had our fast and testimony because we were all sick last week. There were 17 people to the meeting today and I can't believe the thing that was said . It seems like everybody has had a big trial ,two of the families had older children very sick and had to take them to the hospital. One mothers daughter who can't swim and is scared of the water seen two little blue shoes on the side of the canal. She jumped in and pulled out their two year old grandson. We even cancelled the meeting because there was so many people sick . Yet today every body showed up and away we went again it was great. We had our trials, learned from them , and it made us stronger. We hear from the others and to take the sacrament. The spirit was strong and feeling was there telling us that we were in the right spot. One of the lady's was there and her two daughters came and got her. There brothers were drinking and was causing some problems. I know that she will get it worked out. It is worth it and we are here to make it worth while TOGETHER IN THE WORK Love Brent Connie

Sugarcane

Dad and I have been sick we miss church sunday. We got sick from helping Liberato. We did not get his chicken pock glad we both had that. We been tried and have sleep a lot. We finial made it out to the farm on Wednesday. We saw that there was a lot of fire by the cane so we went out to See for ourselves what was going on. And there it was this hug machine cutting the cane up like it was nothing

Water System

We been working the last few day on the water system. There were going good and then we found out we were missing a part. We left earlier to go see Liberato. He feeling misserable. Otilla talk Dad into going out early to have Liberato get in line for Social what ever. He talk her into waiting an another day. He still contages so I do not know why were running around with him. They gave him some medine and told him to come back in the morning. We got there at 6:30 and no one was in line so we waited. Liberato found a place in the sun to sleep. Finial about 7:30 they gave out number. We waited some more. It was about nine o'clock when the Doctor came and they start seeing patients. Liberato was see about 11:00. We went out to his work to get a paper so he get pay for the month he out of work. We back to the clinic to give them the paper work they need. Took everyone home. We went to work. We pick up the parts we were missing. Dad finial hooking up the water system. We took some potateo to Hasus. Dad stop at Otilla to check on how the party planning going. She needs a big pan which we have at home. We visit for a while. Finial got home at 8:30 I went right to bed. Saturday we mate the sister at the church to take them out to the group. They want to invite them to a special RS Day on the 16. They had a wonderful time visiting with the sisters. I got home about 11:30 went to bed was so tired. Otilla party for her daughtor that turning 15 is at 4:00 today. Dad want me to take a cake. Dad got home around 12:00 and went to bed too. I got up an made the cake.felt drained went back to bed. We got Liberato cold but not the chicken pock. I gad we had them. Dad call we miss the party.

Liberato Baptism

This is the part of the group that could make it to Liberato. Mauro in front of us and wife on the other side of Liberato. San Fransico is in front of Mauro he the one reading to his grandparent. He in blue. Ortilla is next to Dad or grandpa. We grow to love them all.



This is a person that the missionary had for baptism the same time as Liberato. He got a wonderful spirit about him.

Liberato is the one with chicken pock. We had to haul him all over getting his paper work so he can be out of work for a month and get pay. We got the paper work in and they want test because they do not know what he has in the clinic. He was put in the hospitial for not breathing. They keep him in the emergency room from saturday till we come on monday. They did not have us pay any thing for him being in the hospitial. Clould not get him out the door fast enough. He got a sore throat, He got the chicken pock all over his body poor guy. I do not not if he is still contagus but with there system you got to have your paper and you got to be the one at the clinic. Who know who else will get this from him.
