The two towers of fire

There is a time when you think that you know every thing and that you are not going to do something stupid right!!!! Take for instants I have been around stoves a fire my whole life and I know how to take care of ashes right?? Right!! So I'm waiting for a man to show up for a bid on trimming my fruit trees. The ashes needs to be taken out so I look for something to haul them out in, and all I can find is a cardboard box. [Now don't get ahead of the story] I get the ashes put into the box and dumped in the dumpster in the corner where it will not start a fire. Then and [this is the good part] I take the empty box over to feed the dogs. I notice that a piece of paper at the bottem of the box is glowing so I let a few ashes cover it up and did't think any more of it. I sat it down by the two water heaters that I had bought special for a job, to have them on hand when they need them, becauce it take four weeks to get them in. Needless to say 10 minutes later Alma came in saying that two water heaters were on fire. We ran out to see what had happen, and by then they were both complety burned up. They burned hot enough to blacken the ceiling and some boxes of toilets that were with in 3 feet of them. My first reaction was disbelief and shock. But then I saw that it was a miracle that it didn't burn all my other toilets and 10 other water heaters and the whole building. So I thanked heavenly father for the lesson and and for keeping it from being a bigger problem. And another thing I found out that the two water heaters that burned where not the right ones, that I ordered for a the special job, and thats the reason they were more exspecive then the other ones. So I got on the phone and call my suppler and told him that I had just burned up the two water heaters, and were not the right ones. And I laughed when he asked for the serial number on them. I said they are burned up and I can see that they are not the right ones. Needless to say he has new ones comming and this time they will be the right ones. The whole time that I had them I kept getting the impression to open one of them up to make sure the they were the right ones and even one of the dogs ripped a big hole in one of them, but I did nothing. So there you go, if you don't follow that little voice that try's to help us do the right thing every day then he will find a way to do it for us. So for me today lesson learned and I sure that I will try to be more receptive tomarrow, and with out a doubt I know that I'm not alone in running this busness and every thing happens for a reason.

Last exspirence in Los Mochis

We have been working with a member who had been inactive for a while and she told us of her daugher that had a medical problem and wanted a blessing. So we got the name and number of the gal and picked up the Elders to visit her. It took awhile to find her and to our suprize she was there. She invited us in and started to tell about what was on her mind. It had been a while since she had been to church, in fact it had been 15 years. She was wanting to know if she was still able to get a blessing and be worthy of it. We told her that of course she would be able to get it with out any problem. To start out we did a little chit chat and then the
elder asked if we could sing a hymn for her. After the hymn we had a prayer and asked her to give a prayer also to invite the spirit to be with us. After the blessing we started to say our good buys and leave on the way out she said that she could remember a hymn in her mind and started to sing it. As she sing the Elders said page 118 that the one you are singing, I couldn't believe it, after all these years this hymn was still on the tip of her tongue to help her fill the spirit. And then she said my body is filling warm, and thats when I told she it was the power of God healing her. And also I told her that it didn't matter how long it has been since you have gone to church because today is the first day of your life. No body is keeping track of the last time you have been to church, it is only between you and God.

Cleaning the drive way and park spaces on the farm, Brent back to work for the winter with the frozen pipe . We had a east wind which freeze thing up more. I do not know why it just does. unless we just do not plan for east wind and leave thing unprotected

Back to the gring of making money

It has been three mounths since we have left the mission, my how time flies. I thought that I would write a little bite of what has happened since we have been back. First of all we got to see Lillian and Rob baby boy, we stayed there for two days. And from there we drove to Salt Lake to the furnial of my Annt. We got up at 4:30 int the morning to ge there. It was nice to see the relatives and my brothers and sisters, they were very suprized to see us. Later that night we drove up to Bountiful for my fourty year class reunion from my first mission in Guatemala y El Salvador. What a treat to see some of my old companions and even our mission Pres. and his wife was there. After the reunion we headed out for home, by the time we got into the Jerome valley it was about 1:00 in the morning. Looking towards Twin Falls we could see the lights where the new temple was being built. And as we was driving through town we could see two new schools being built and a whole bunch of new houses and sub division I could not believe how much this town has changed in one year. When we got home it was so cold when we got out of the car, we just grabed some stuff and headed up to the office for the night. This was saturday night and conferance was sunday so it gave us a chance to rest and get ready for monday morning work. I just changed the answer on the answer machine put on my work clothes and was in business. There was a lot to do to get things up and running so I left that to Connie and Angela. And the rest was just me and the Lord back in the work force agan. With in the first two weeks we had brough in enough money to get the business up and running. And I quickly found out that I needed help to get all the work done that wqas comming in. Alma had gotten a good job with Reises Plumbing where his is learning more about new work. And Diago had gotten a new job in lath and plaster doing house. In about 3 weeks I found a man who name is JoseMunoz that spoke spanish and English very well and was all so willing to learn a new trade, so I left him my card and told him to call me when he was ready to go to work. About a month and a half later he called and has been working with me since. Also about the first of December Alma was laid off at Reises Plumbing and now I have a great work force again. Not that I couldn't do it all any more it's that part of me keeping the business going was to teach others how to have a good livehood and also the good people that depent on me to take care of their plumbing. I even had one lady say to me[ I don't mind that you people go out and serve the Lord, I think that it's great but from now on you are not allowed to leave till i'm dead!!!] Of course I teared up a little knowing that some of my customers love me that much. Any way it's been about four months now and the business is doing great. Also since we have been home Ammon and michell hand a baby girl, and she was born on the 9 of Dec. and her name is Mara. Alma and Missty had a baby girl the first day of January ,her name is Skyla Nevaeh, can you believe it missed a good tax deduction for a whole year by one day. I have just recieved a new calling in the spanish branch as first counselor. We have hit the ground and it was great to be so needed here. I lose about fourty pounds in Mexico and also Connie lose over 10 pounds. We learned so much in Mexico and we are going to keep up on writing, and of course hearing from everybody else will be great too.
